HIS EXCELLENCY ALI SAEED BIN HARMAL AL DHAHERI, BIN HARMAL SONS GROUP, UAE

With over two decades of experience in business, Mr. Al Dhaheri has a proven track record of success. Upon completing his MBA with distinction from the American University in Washington DC, Al Dhaheri put his knowledge to work in founding, launching, and managing several successful business entities across a number of different sectors: IT, finance, education, tourism, and real estate.

Not only a start-up visionary, Al Dhaheri also has the skills to step in and lead change to achieve sustainable growth in large organizations. He has been involved at a high level with government tourism and development strategy, MICE and education management, to name a few. 

Mr. Al Dhaheri currently holds a number of key positions, such as Chairman of Abu Dhabi University, CEO of Abu Dhabi University Holding Company, Chairman of Liwa International School and Chairman of Magna Investments. He also holds various committee positions for private and government entities alike.

MUHAMMAD ALAGIL, CHAIRMAN, JARIR GROUP, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

Mr. Muhammad Alagil also serves as the CEO of Jarir Investment and conceptualised and co-started Jarir Marketing and Jarir Bookstore chains. Jarir Marketing Company is listed on Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) with a market capitalisation of more than USD 4.6 billion. Jarir Investment is the family office investing worldwide in hedge funds, private equity, real estate and also guiding the second generation through family constitution, career planning and legal structuring.

Mr. Alagil’s philanthropic work include sponsoring high impact projects at Saudi Cancer Society, Saudi Diabetes Society, various quality education programs and Muhammad Alagil Distinguished Chair for Arab Asia studies at National University of Singapore. 

Mr. Alagil earned a Masters of Eng. from University of California, Berkley and a B.S. in Engineering from KFUPM. In addition, Mr. Alagil completed the OPM program at Harvard University. 

FADY DEBBANE, CEO, DEBBANE-SAIKALI HOLDING, LEBANON

Mr. Fady Debbane is the CEO of Debbane-Saikali Holding, one of the two investment vehicles of Debbane Group. He is the chairman of Pesco Telecom, a Lebanese wireless broadband operator.

He is also a board member in several regional companies with a footprint spanning from Algeria to Saudi Arabia in the sectors of agriculture, manufacturing, contracting and construction. He started his career in the USA where he worked in several companies, among them Bank Audi USA as senior vice president and head of the credit department. He returned to Lebanon in 1994 when he joined Debbane Group as group CFO and started the group’s activity in the technology sector.

MISHAL KANOO, CHAIRMAN, THE KANOO GROUP, UAE-OMAN

The Kanoo Group is one of the largest and longest-running family conglomerates in the Gulf region, which was established in 1890 as the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group of Companies. The business has expanded in-line with economic growth, particularly taking advantage of shipping routes, the oil boom and the burgeoning travel and tourism sectors.

Mr. Mishal Kanoo worked at Arthur Andersen in Dubai as an auditor before taking up his current position in 1997. He gained his first degree in Comparative Theology and Philosophy and double major in Economics and later earned his MBA in Finance from University of St. Thomas in Houston. He obtained his second MBA from American University of Sharjah, where he occasionally teaches courses.

Mr. Kanoo is also one of the most iconic business figures in the Middle East, featured on various magazines and listed in several ‘Top 100 Powerful Arabs’ and ‘The 15 Wealthiest Arab Businessmen in the World’ lists.

Asher Noor, Chief Investment Officer and Group CFO, AlTouq Group, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Asher Noor is the Chief Investment Officer and Group CFO for AlTouq Group – a sophisticated Saudi Arabian family investment office. Asher is based in Saudi Arabia for more than 16+ years and has worked for PwC and Banque Saudi Fransi in the past. His last position was CFO for Morgan Stanley in Saudi Arabia. 

Asher’s accomplishments include an IPO, executing the first equity swap on Saudi stock exchange, several M&A transactions, trade sale exits as well as financial restructuring and advisory roles for several corporates. 

Apart serves on the board of many companies representing AlTouq Group’s global investments and voluntary positions. He is a gold medallist, qualified trust & estate practitioner, chartered accountant, faculty member teaching GEN 501 course at FFI and a member of Pakistan and UK’s public finance accountancy bodies.

KHALID AL ZAYANI, HONORARY CHAIRMAN, ALZAYANI INVESTMENT GROUP OF COMPANIES, KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN

Mr. Khalid Al Zayani is also the honorary chairman of many other Al Zayani family firms, chairs numerous highly prestigious companies and foundations e.g. Midal Cables, Aluwheel. Mr. Al Zayani is the founder and co-chairman of the Bahrain British Business Council, US-Bahrain Business Council and holds several esteemed presidential and board membership roles in international councils and societies. 

Al Zayani Investments is a dynamic company gaining strength from its local solid foundation and its worldwide network of contacts. Al Zayani Investments operates a diverse portfolio of businesses that span the fields of industry, banking, automobile distribution, property, hotels and services.
